An Update on 1.2's Development

Hi! A while ago, after the last update was released (was that really 7 months ago already???), I began work on a new update for the game. There are quite a lot of notable changes in this update I'd like to talk about!
- New Text Renderer - In the first versions of this game, all of the text was antialiased (aside from the text that was pre-rendered onto images) because I used the Animated Text extension from TurboWarp. Now, most of the text uses a custom text renderer I made, which has allowed me to make the text pixelated! Also, due to this, a lot more text (menus and such) is now stored in the captions file, which would make it way easier to do translations if that ever happens. Some exceptions include the captions, achievement descriptions, and event text. These would either be too complex or really laggy to do with the custom renderer, so I didn't bother changing those.
- Overhaul of the Debug Menu - The Debug Menu has been completely overhauled from its previous version, and now has WAY more options and doohickeys! Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the design turned out. Hopefully, it'll be something fun for you guys to mess around with.
- New Items - This update adds two new items to the game! Also, item generation has been changed slightly so that every item is now completely random instead of pulling from banks.
- H20 Bottle - This item refills your stamina, like the Raspberry Soda. Unlike the Raspberry Soda, it does not give you a speed boost, however the effects of this item can stack (meaning you can get more than 100% stamina!)
- Literal Gumboots - Due to repeated complaints about Lime being annoying, I added this item! This item temporarily stops Lime from dragging you around when you use it, like the Techno-Boots/Big 'ol Boots.
- Teacher Triforce - Double Trouble's first incarnation was nothing noteworthy, mainly due to Codename's AI being stupid and running into walls and such. Now, not only has both his and Vista's AI been completely overhauled, another fellow teacher has joined the mix - SAM! (from Sam's Schoolhouse, my other game!) Due to how differing his behavior is compared to the other teachers (especially due to his jump mechanic), I think his addition will spice up the mode a little bit.
Sorry about how long all of this has taken. I'm not the best with time management, and I definitely have things I've gotta improve on. My current plan is to release it somewhere during this month. I can probably manage that, but we'll just have to see.
Overall, I'm still very much proud of this game -- even more so than Sam's Schoolhouse! I'd like to keep updating it for a little while into the future, because with how small of a game it is I know it still has potential for new content. I hope you enjoy the update when it comes out!!
